Gold Plate Collars

So I bought this detachable collar like way back and I could never figure out what I wanted to wear it with. 

This is one of my rare impulse buys where I've bought something I can't wear. I probably just bought it because of the pretty gold plates so I though why not put them to good use. I transferred them to my sleeveless denim button down I bought from Z'closet. 

They were pretty easy to put on and off so will probably use them for all my collared clothing. 

BTW,  bought the collar from Girl Shoppe in Pop culture in Alabang Town Center from 150 Php and the polo for 185 Php.

Cake in a Mug

My little sister and I got a sweet tooth attack the other night and we decided to make some chocolate cake. It tasted really good but we kinda over cooked it by 30 seconds so it was as stale as a donut. Hahaha

What you'll need:

Flour

Cocoa powder

Sugar

Salt

Eggs

Milk

Oil

P.S. if you are as clueless as me, do not dip a finger in the cocoa powder and taste is. I had no idea cocoa was so bitter! Hahahahaha

Set the timer at 3 minutes instead of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Whoops!

Here is how it came out. Looks pretty unappetizing huh? But it was actually really good!

Top it off with some vanilla ice cream and put on some pounds.

Homemade Ravioli

One of my greatest cooking achievements! It was fairly easy to make but it takes up so much time. Ravioli is basically stuffed pasta. You can stuff it with lots or different goodies, meat, veggies, and even cheese. In this case, I put all three of those into the ravioli I made. These have Gouda and maasdam cheese, ground beef, and spinach stuffed inside them. 

It probably took me 3 hours to fill up this container. I have to say, cooking is no joke. My left arm is throbbing because of the work I put into these. Haha! But hey, the outcome looks great. This of course goes with a simple tomato sauce and you have a complete meal.

Would you like to make some yourself? Here's how I made them:

Mix 3 cups of flour with 4 eggs and 1/4 cup of water until you form the dough. 

Knead for 10 mins and let rest for 20. 

The stuffing is just beef and spinach sauteed, let it cool then mix in grated cheese. 

Roll out the pasta dough and cut them into rectangles. 

Pull egg wash on the edges of the rectangle to act as a glue. 

Put the stuffing on one side then fold over and seal edges with your fingers. 

Cook the ravioli for about 15 minutes in boiling water then serve with a simple tomato sauce. 

There you have it! Sounds easy but make sure to anticipate the amount of work and time it actually takes. Good luck and have a happy tummy! :)

DIY: Silver Tip Nails

I tried! They look good from afar though! :)) My take on silver tip nails. I was so bored last night that I wanted to try it out. There was no foil here at home so I took a chocolate bar and took the foil from that. Hahaha! Maybe next time I'll go to a nail art expert for this.

Bleach-capade Results

Ta dah! Here's how it turned out! :) 

Pretty happy despite some darker spots but it actually looks nice that way.

I left it soaking for about 12 hours then I took it out of the tub and hanged it which allowed it to soak up more of the remaining bleach. Itching to bleach more or my denim now. Hahaha

Smells really bad at the moment so I have to have it washed again. Excited to wear it with a maxi dress, ala Miranda Kerr.

Bleach-capades

Attempted to bleach my denim jacket today but it's taking a bit longer than expected so I'll show you the results another time. :)

This is what the jacket looks like pre-bleach, quite a dark wash specially around the collar part. 

Welcome to my unemployed life of doing random stuff. Hahaha!

It's been soaking in this tub of water and bleach for about 4 hours now and I see a bit of progress but I'll leave it in over night for maximum effect. 

 I put and entire small bottle of Zonrox into the water and mixed it well before i dipped the jacket in. Make sure the entire jacket is submerged to get even bleaching, and wear gloves! I didn't and now my hands are so hyper sensitive and itchy. :( 

The result will probably be a light gray so I might also buy dye to make it more of a sky blue color, but I'll save that for next time.

Look who was making pa-cute while I was in the back bleaching my jacket. Cutie. Hihihi

Current time passer, making bracelets out of the stacks of string I have at home. My mom used to love making cross stitch pictures so we have tons of sting in every color possible.

Maybe I should sell these? What do you think? :)

It's actually pretty easy, maybe I can make tutorials in the future is anyone is interested in learning how to make these.

DIY: White Bustier

There are times when shopping that you see a piece that you like but there might be something about it that makes you think otherwise. Like, you find a skirt that may be too long or a top with unflattering sleeves or something like that.

So I found a bustier top that was 450 Php that had buttons that really bothered me. They were shiny and square and it was not my style at all. So I bought it anyway and I figured out a way to make it wearable for me.

Here's what it looked like at first:

Here were the hideous buttons I was talking about.

So I managed to cut out all the buttons and I stitched the middle close and this is how it came out.

I think it looks much better now. Can't wait to wear it out soon and mix and match it with different things. Let me know what you think! Have you ever done anything like this? :)
